MPSA State Cheerleader Competition

On September 10, 2008, the varsity and junior varsity cheerleading squads attended the annual MPSA State Cheer and Dance Competition. The competition was held at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson. The event was well supported by family and friends. It was exciting to watch as 30 squads performed cheer and dance routines in front of a panel of judges. This is the second year that the LA cheerleaders have attended, and they are looking forward to future competitions.
The varsity squad is composed of the following students: Anna Clare Winstead, captain; Mary Frances Brantley, co-captain; Samantha Coleman, Brittany Pigg, Dakota Thaggard, Kelsey Harvey, Dees Posey, Shelbi Horn, Shelby Howard, Ally Loper, Kris Potts, Jenny Wilbanks
