JV Cheerleaders Take Second Place in MPSA State Competition

On September 10, 2008, the varsity and junior varsity cheerleading squads attended the annual MPSA State Cheer and Dance Competition. The competition was held at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson. The event was well supported by family and friends. It was exciting to watch as 30 squads performed cheer and dance routines in front of a panel of judges. This is the second year that the LA cheerleaders have attended, and they are looking forward to future competitions.
The junior varsity was awarded 2nd place in the MPSA State Cheer and Dance Competition in the small group division. Congratulations to the junior varsity squad on a job well done!
The junior varsity squad includes the following students: Hanna Kemp, captain; Rebecca Waggoner, co-captain; Taylor Dearman, Kristin Lee, Kamaran Malone, Hannah Smith, Kaitlan Sudduth, Kaitlyn Blanton, Christian Little, Anna Katherine Nowell, Caroline Brantley, Brittany Rawson.
